Job description: Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World Air Traffic Control (ATC) Systems Operations Manager (Maryland) Navy Fleet Area Control and Surveillance Facilities (FACSFAC) Operations Manager *NOTE(S): 1) A MA or MS degree is required to be considered. 2) This is for a contract that is pending award by the Government. Essential Job Functions Serves as a project manager or team leader for the support of tasking involving system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management to military weapon systems, associated support systems, or management informational systems. – Provide field maintenance services in support Navy ATC & LS: – System initialization, system configuration, operations, and diagnostics – Operation testing, diagnostics testing, removal and replacement, system maintenance, and equipment maintenance logs – On-The-Job training for Government and military personnel – Preventative maintenance specifically for the Marine Corps IRSS – Telephone and emergency on-site support – Supervises operations by developing management procedures and controls – Develops positive customer relationships between Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and PAE to achieve contract objectives – Maintains close contact with personnel performing maintenance – Coordinates operational matters and maintains liaison with Government Operations – Establishes a close working relationship with Operations Customer to ensure an understanding of the requirements and capabilities of maintenance actions – Communicates and cooperates in the effort to enhance the maintenance and mission capability – Provides guidance and direction to the PAE maintenance staff – Coordinates and directs the activities of all assigned personnel by establishing duties required to accomplish the maintenance – Ensures adherence to established standards of individual performance and discipline – Interviews prospective employees and assists in the selection of new employees – Recommends and initiates personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, and appropriate disciplinary action – Takes the actions necessary to ensure that all personnel training, certification, and re-certification requirements are met – Reviews and approves project costs and expenditures – Practices and promotes the principles of the Quality Management Program – Minimum Education and Experience Required – Ten (10) years of experience in engineering, engineering management, business administration, or a technical discipline – Five (5) years of experience with the Navy or other DoD activities. – Required education: MS or MA degree – Must possess analytical abilities necessary to handle extremely complex administrative, organizational, and ATCLS maintenance matters – Must demonstrate communicative, managerial, and organizational skills necessary to effectively manage program operations – Must deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner – Must hold a SECRET security clearance – Must have a basic knowledge of computers-able to input and extract data PAE is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
