Texas is the preferred location. This individual will have a proven track record of leading a sales organization. The successful candidate will have experience working in a matrixed environment to drive business initiatives and define priorities for the region. He/she will be responsible for managing Account Executives throughout the region as well as the ability to work closely with systems engineers, channel managers, and service provider managers with the company. The DPS Sales Manager will be an extroverted, forceful and visionary sales leader who can inspire world-class sales performance across the broader Dell Technologies sales ecosphere. Desired Industry Experience and Technical Understanding: Matrix Leadership – Leading through influence in a heavily matrix organization. Ability to leverage people and resources outside the division to further the goals of the Data Protection Solutions Division Competitive/Passionate – Demonstrates passion and energy around the journey to Data Protection Everywhere. Is relentless about taking share from legacy competitors and achieving a 100% win rate against all competitors, legacy and emerging. Exceptional Presenter – Ability to clearly and passionately articulate the Data Protection Portfolio value proposition to small and large audiences. Talent Management – Proven track record of driving accountability through an organization top to bottom. Proactively growing talent with a continual focus on recruiting top performers from competitive companies. Data Driven Decision Making – Must possess strong operating knowledge of the business and its drivers. Fluent in using key performance indicators to make proactive data driven decisions. Able to Embrace and Methodically Lead through Change – Able to promote a culture of change starting at the management level. Comfortable with leading through changing competition, changing go to market, changing solutions, changing customers, changing internal and external variables. Responsibilities: Meet and exceed quarterly and annual quota objectives for the Division Successfully work across Strategically Aligned Businesses and Dell’s matrixed reporting structure to ensure the execution of key Data Protection business initiatives Understand the Data Protection sales processes, plays, programs and product/service value propositions and facilitate successful execution of these initiatives across the Division Hire, mentor, coach, manage, retain and motivate a diverse team of managers, sales reps, channel managers and system engineers, hold team meeting as necessary Leverage and build strong relationships across all DPS teams – HR, Sales Operations, Manufacturing, Product Management, Product Marketing, GTO, other specialist groups (ie GCN, GCCS, Mainframe, Software, etc) Job Requirements: Proven track record history of leading sales teams to hit or overachieve target with 3+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in the Data Protection marketplace.
